passed tissue with my period?

I had a period last month that was extremly heavy I was changing a pad every 30 minutes. My doctor put me on the Nuva ring I am now at my week without and it took me 5 days to start my period I finally did today. I already have back problems but this back pain was really bad tonight and it traveled down the back of my legs and in my hips. I am having body cramping but all over not in my stomach, just places like my legs and arms. I went to the restroom tonight and passed two tissue things at first look I thought it was a clot but I looked more it had kind of a grayish tint and when I unfolded it it was like tissue and there was two pieces. It looked like the skin off of raw chicken. I almost passed out the thought of having a miscarrige is devestating to me. I wasn't tring to concieve seems as if I have 3 kids nor did I think I was pregnant but when I thought miscarrige I cried for about an hour now I feel as if I am in kind of shock. Does this sound like a miscarrige. This may sound silly but I kept the tissue to take to my doctor. Also I am having pressure down there. Like the pressure you have when your 9 months along and walking to long but not a lot of cramping just the back ache. Anyhow I just want to know what this sounds like to you guys???

It sounds scary, but this has happened to me sooooo many times.... I saved the grayish clot thing and took it to the RE and they test it....it was just the lining....to me, it looked like a sac (It was about the size of 2 quarters) ....  What they say to do, (if this happens again)  save it in alcohol in a sealed container and take it to Dr., for examiniation...it sounds gross, but I HAD to do it b/c I thought the same thing as you!!!    Good Luck ...

so you say just the lining? Were you pregnant? I am sorry I don't even know anyone who misscarried before or even thought they had.

It does sound like a early miscarriage but it could also just be lining too but I myself have never passed liner like that.

The Nuva Ring is a whole nother story as I have heard not many great things about it. I have heard it is not effective and on another pregnancy board a few women have claimed to get pregnant while on it.

A few months ago I passed something like that and my doctor told me that it was his opinion that I was having a miscarriage.  I have had several before, so I kind of already knew that, but called anyway.  

My OB likes the Nuva ring for his patients, but b/c of the shape of my cervix I am not a candidate for them....but everyone swore by the depoProvera shot a few years ago and I was on it for 2 years and then got pregnant (and miscarried) while I was on it...proven by u/s.

I am eighteen, and went on antibiotics for four weeks, so this cancelled out my pill. I was still sexually active during the four weeks, using other contraception.
I thought I was pregnant, but then my period came, but it was different. I had extreme back pain and my bleeding was heavy.Later I found what looked liked rolled skin and was fleshy, and found it twice - quite large bits. My mum said it was fetal tissue, as she'd seen this before. IS this a miscarrage (miscarriage)? Did me starting the pill again abort a baby?
