passing tissue

by tisha919, Jan 29, 2009 08:34AM
The doctor is telling me I need to pass tissue or I will be having a miscarriage.  I don't know exactly what he means by tissue. I'm bleeding lightly with cramps, what do you think?

I don't understand, you posted a question similar to this the other day.
Do you mean that you are passing tissue? If you are passing tissue it likely means that you are having a miscarriage, if that is the case I am very sorry.
Maybe you could be a little more specific so that we can offer some more advice.
I hope you are ok.

I think you must have misunderstood your doctor.  Usually passing tissue is the miscarriage, it does not prevent the miscarriage.  Please check with the doctor's office and get clarification, and then post back to us.  You confused us all the other day and we would like to know too!  Good luck, Annie

To: all
im fifty years old. everyone says im going thru the change .  about ten yrs ago, i spotted for an entire month, went to dr. and gave me birth control pills for the hormone it had in them. it cleared it up that time. two years ago, i had two periods within three days apart, each lasting seven days. no insurance no dr. this time. in august i spotted for about a week, then nothing.  september i spotted for about three days then gush... a period strong and heavy for eight days. then tapered off for another week as spotting.  then stopped, one week later, back to bleeding again and still bleeding and its on the eighth day again, this time with huge clot  type things about the size of a three year olds fist. very painful then blood just pours out for hours. I have had to use tampons and several pads or adult diaper and change every half hour to an hour. feel dizzy most times. again, cant be seen without insurance. so maybe some one can tell me whats going on? email me at ***@****

If you are bleeding that much and getting dizzy, you need to go to the Emergency Room right away.  You might have a uterine fibroid that is bleeding, or something else, but you NEED to be seen.  It is a very serious issue to lose that much blood.  Don't wait.
