Pelvic pain really isnt a sign of active labor.  your hips widen, and your pelvis separates.  The pain you are feeling is probably your baby down in the "blast off" position and its putting pressure on your pelvis causing teh pain, but not active labor.  I have sharp, stabbing pains shooting straight down my pelvis and out.. the pressure is kililng me.  Unless you are experiencing contractions, you got nadda.  I know how you feel, I'm pretty anxious to have my son as well.  I love being pregnant, and this is my last pregnancy, but I'm ready for all the aches and pains to be done.

I am due March 2 and I am 37 weeks (according to my OB appt yesterday).

Are you dilated at all?

yeah, I've been having pelvic pain for about two weeks now, and still no baby (I'm 38 weeks).  I've pretty much completely given up on the idea of the baby coming early, unless I start to feel some full blown contractions or my water breaks.

I had that with my pregnancies for weeks before I had them. Unfortunatly that doesn't mean that it's early labor. What probably happend is that the baby has dropped....which is a good sign that things are progressing like they are supposed to. Sometimes it felt like the baby was going to fall out it got so bad. Good luck and hope you go into labor soon and have a fast, healthy labor and baby! P.S I went into labor on a full moon with 3 out of 4 of my kids, so who knows! :)
