I'm not an expert, but my guess would be no.  A period is when your uterine lining comes away from the uterine wall, and causes you to shed the lining and bleed.  If there's a fertilized egg in there, you shouldn't be getting a period, per se.  However, it can be normal in the first trimester to experience some bleeding.  But if you have pain that goes along with it, please get it checked out.  Hope this helps.

the thing is, the bleeding lasted as long as my regular one about 7 days, i had cramps and everything-which i usually do. so i figure that i wasnt pregnant in april. im 3 months now from having intercourse in may which caused me to not get a period at the end of may as expected. i had some bleeding and some spotting this month which was normal and i know it wasnt my period.
