if you had a child and you are not sure you are not the child father and both parents is o positive and the child is o positive whats the odds the child could be yours

the only way to get a "type O" blood type is to have two parents type O, if the baby was type A or B and the mother was O then the father would have to carry either AB- if the child is either A or B or the father would have to have type A- if the child was A and the father could be type B if the child is type B.  The chances of the father being Type O is 100% unless the mother slept with another Type O.  Then we look at the amount of population with Type O blood type.  Now Type O is recessive to Type A, Type B, and Type AB blood types therefore the chances of another male having type O blood type in the population is not very good chances.
if the child does have Type O both parents are Type O no exceptions

Sorry, I also forgot to mention that blood type O is the most common blood type in North America.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with that last post entirely. Both parents do not have to be type O in order for child's blood type to be O as well. Use this blood type calculator to see what the chances are hon, good luck.

I am A+ and my daughters father is O+. Two out of four of my daughters are O+, so that post is not true. Just had to share.

You need to have a dna test if there is any question of paternity.  Blood type is not enough.
