Bed rest usually means staying in bed, getting up only to go to the bathroom, and for a quick shower every other day.

There are no particular food requirements, but care should be taken to get plenty of fiber so that there are no problems with bowel movements.  Often, doctors recommend a gentle stool softener to be taken twice daily.

There are no special requirements for sleeping.

Any furthur bleeding or cramping should be reported immediately to your doctor.  Best of luck!
