position of cervix

position of cervix

Hi sorry to take up space with this but,

when you are pregnant (in the early stages) what position is your cervix? is it supposed to be soft?

i only ask because im on day 26 of my cycle, so im way past ovulation, and i recently realised my cervix is definatley soft and open,

can anybody help me on this one please??

Thanks

Checking of the cervix is one of the most unreliable indications of pregnancy. Every woman is different but the further along you are in your pregnancy the cervix goes soft and high and is closed.

If your cervix is low (very easy to reach) then your period is probably on its way.  In pg, the cervix stays high.  Soft and open alone doesn't really tell you much - you need to also gauge how high it is.
