positive HPT TIMES 2 but spotting brown

positive HPT TIMES 2 but spotting brown

Hi there--I have just tested 2 faint positives (3 days apart) on HPT's.  I am wondering if I am pregnant?  I have had 4 pregnancies....oldest 13 y/o,then 10, 9, and 13 months.  I am a nurse and my boyfriend (a wonderful father of two of his own) smokes pot occasionally (not around me and very infrequently.) I began a brownish discharge 3 days ago and has not returned.  I have never spotted like this before.  Can I still be pregnant??  I know I need to see my MD (and have scheduled an appointment) but can I get some kind of assurance that my age (33) that this is a true positive??  Thany you so very much!!!

Hi, + is +, not much chance of it being -. Good luck to you. How many days late are you? You should really talk to him about quitting that stuff, it's terrible. I hope all works out for you and your bf.

Well, it sounds like you are. Good luck to you. The spotting is very normal from what I've heard. I didn't spot with either of my full term pregnancies but I've read several times it is very normal and very common.

I am approx 12 weeks pregnant and I did have some brown spotting for about three days earlier on just after a positive test. I did not have any spotting at all with my first pregnancy but I had the most terrible morning sickness, this time I don't  have any sickness i guess not all pregnancies are the same. Good luck

All I can provide is my experience with hope.  I have spotted yellowish-brown on and off since I conceived in March.  At 8wks since conception, the u/s showed all is well.  I've been told the same - just watch for painful cramping and lots of red blood.  By the way, this is my first at almost 40 yrs old.  I don't wish the experience on anyone, but it sure makes me think it's ok/normal to have brown spotting when I hear similar stories.

Hey.  Been spotting brown since around three days after I found out that I was pregnant, including today.  Called the doctor and they said that it may have been implantation bleeding and that after an us at 8 weeks (10 on Frdy) and they saw the baby, yolk sac and heard a heartbeat that I should not worry unless I developed cramp-like pain in the lower abdomen and the blood began to be bright red or pink.  Good luck. I hope it turns out to be good news.

I thought that I was the only one who was not enjoying the experience up until now.  I have been so nauseated!!! Cramping, spotting, backaches, etc.  I have felt like such a wimp and ungrateful that I have not been enjoying something that we have wanted for sooo long.  However, I was worried because I had spotted some pink the day before yesterday and went to the dr. yesterday. They did an ultrasound and ,low and behold, there was a real baby there - no longer just a butterbean!  They put the us on the baby and it started to kick up and even put up an arm!  My dad had gone with me because my husband had been unavailable.  You wouldn't believe the wonder of it all!!!  That had been the only baby he had ever seen that way, ya know.  I have decided to enjoy my pregnancy - sickness and all - and thank God every day that something so wonderous is going on inside my body.  If something happens bad from here, at least I have seen that miracle and can cling to that.  We just need to be grateful.

Hi,  the last time i was pregnant i just knew..i was 3 weeks late and the started spotting which was unusual for me so at that thime i took an hpt and it was positive... i went to see my doctoe and the hcg level was really low so he said i could be miscarrying, which I did.  But i spotted for 8 days with no heavy bleeding or nothing, just light brown and that was it...
but when I had my daughter i had 5 days of real bleeding when my period was due... we dicovered this when she was born and the doctors thought she was 4 weeks early ... but she was
10 LBS.   :)
