Dear friends:
In early May, I had a D&C, it's my second pregnancy and second D&C. The reason for the m/c is abnormal embryoCea chromosome (45X). Two weeks after D&C, I was still breeding significantly, and ultrasound confirmed the residual pregnant tissue in my uterus. I was then given a methotrexade (?) shot at wk3 to help remove the tissue. I bled more, and finally stopped bleeding around week 4. However, my weekly hCG test had been declining much slower than expected. Now it's been 7wks since the D&C, and it's still positive (17). The doctor told me that I should not worry about it. But I am worried that I won't get my period back for a long time, or never get it back normally. I am already 35yr...really want to have a baby.... If anyone had similar situation, please help me. Thank you very much in advanceAdvance care plus Advance relief.
Hi- I'm in a similar situation. I had a miscarriage on 5/22 at seven weeks. I have not had a D&C yet, but my levels actually have gone up! How frustrating! Three weeks ago they were 700, two weeks ago 850, then up to 920- at which point they were going to schedule a D&C. But, then they dropped back to 850. Residual tissue is stubborn. But, I can sympathise, at this rate it is going to take me a year to get to zero! Most people take 2-6 weeks. But then there are those other few who take forever (like us) so I can definately commiserate with you. I'm pretty sure that if my levels don't drop soon I'll be going in for D&C, but even then as you know, the levels don't fly down to zero. Good luck. I just try to keep my mind on other things because you are so close now, it should be soon.
