post-partum bleeding

post-partum bleeding

My baby is 7 weeks old, I started the pill this week and 3 days later I have been bleeding, looks like menstrual bleeding.  I am breast-feeding, is this normal?

Depending on what kind of pills your doctor put you on.....
I went on the mini pill at 6 weeks and then started my period right away, I too was breastfeeding.......
Lucky us........we don't get the break that most breastfeeding mothers get........LOL
I would say it is normal and nothing to worry about.
After that first period after starting the pill I was back to regular every 28 days.
The mini pill (if that is what you are on) is not 99.9% effective like the other pills are said to be so be careful.
I only took my pills for about a month (was told not to get pregnant again for 2 to 3 months due to getting a Rubella shot. I got pregnant again when my son was 7 months old. You CAN get pregnant while breastfeeding.
Congrats on your new baby!!!!!!
