post partum period or not

I will be 7 weeks post partum tomorrow. I bf for 3 weeks and then went to the bottle. I bled post partum for 4 weeks and then stopped. For the past 2 days I have had slight bright red spotting. Is this my period? I am having to wait on my period to start my birth control. I really do not want to get pregnant again this soon. I am extra worried because when I got pregnant I had slight spotting for 1 day around the time when I should have gotten my period and then it stopped. What should I do?

It's normal to bleed on and off for a few weeks after having the baby. If you don't want to be pregant so soon, you should really use some kind of a birth control method. That way you won't need to worry needlessly. Best of luck.
