It is hard to accurately predict exactly when bleeding will start, with a miscarriage. I would keep on as though pregnant (i.e. take my vitamins and not drink) until the bleeding actually starts. If the doctor told you this by seeing it in an ultrasound, well, sometimes you can know a miscarriage is coming more than a couple of weeks earlier by ultrasound than you would ever know by what your body does. If nothing more happens in one or two weeks, I would call the doctor back or ask why you are not seeing any symptoms.
