pregnancy test help...

Ok, I have a 20 month old son so I should know these answers but I can't quite figure it out. I was taking one of the birth control pills that you take for 3 months at a time, while on these I didn't have a period for about 6 months. I recently switched back to the normal ortho-tri. I messed this package,I forgot to send it in the pharm, so I just decided to heck with it, we wanted to start trying for number anyways. So... I had a period when I first switched to the regular birth control, but I am not sure when I should be starting again. From what I do know, I would have gotten pregnant last weekend. I feel crazy thinking that I can already tell, but I just feel like I am. Breast tenderness, light brownish spotting, lots of tummy issues,  for the past couple of days been going to the bathroom ALOT more, very bloated, and well, I just feel pregnant. When should I take a test? Am I crazy for thinking I could tell that quickly? Any thoughts would be helpful!

If I am reading this right, you say you could have gotten pregnant last weekend (Jan 2-3). If this is right, it would be too early to feel symptoms and too early to test. I would wait a minimum of 2 weeks before testing or wait until your period is due/late and test then. Good luck!

I agree with Victoria01 about the time to test.  14 days past when you think you conceived you might be able to get a positive pregnancy test.  If it's negative wait another week.

As far as symptoms go, you can get them before you have a positive test.  I had symptoms a week before my period was due.  My husband tried to convince me to take a test, but I knew it was too early.  One week later I got a positive.
