I've got two questions for you ladies.
--Is hair loss a common pregancy symptom? I'm loosing my hair like crazy, i feel bad taking a shower everyday. it's just too much. any advice?
-- how early did you find out about the sex of your babies? is 16 weeks enough to find out? my U/S is on the 8th of August, when i will be 16 weeks, and i would love if they can tell me the sex of my twins!!
thanks for your input;)

You lose everything after having a baby!
Dignity--in the delivery room when everyone sees your belongings
Hair--with worry
Money --Kids cost alot
Sanity---and so on and so on....lol

i had hair loss during the first 20 weeks of my pregnancy with my son. then my hair grew like crazy afterwards. i also had an u/s at 16 weeks and they told me i was having a boy, and we could see his boy parts clear as day....so i think as long as the wee one is cooperating you could go home knowing.

good luck!!!!.....cant wait to be in your shoes!!!

I had my u/s at 17 wk, 4d, and you could see everything clear as day.

You can go to my son's website at
http://huckleberry48-ivil.tripod.com/index.html and look if you want.  Over at the left-hand side in the menu - click Ultrasound Pictures and you'll see the pictures.  You can definitely tell it's a boy.

Good luck, if it's a boy I think they'll be able to see it, if he cooperates!

YES YES YES!!!!!!!  My little guy is 10.5 mo old and I STILL lose my hair in the shower.  I hate it.  It is a very common symtom in pregnancy.  How ppl think pregnancy is beautiful.  All I can think of is fat and bald LOL!!!!!!  O well.

Now about the sex I think it the babies are laying right you may see something at 16 weeks.  Good Luck and let us know what you are having if you find out.   Take Care

I would ask your Dr about the hair loss.  Someone was telling me just the other day that pregnancy hair loss was was a sign of iron or b12 defeinecy.  I don't know if this is true but I guess it is worth asking the Dr.

Yes some hair loss can happen it did with me, also I have an under active thyroid which that happens with also..its the hormones
As for the sex of the baby I never found out with any pregnancy I wanted to be suprised I am always amazed at how many want to know...Cant you guys wait!  What do you do at Christmas time....lol..

by cajun01, Jul 21, 2005 12:00AM
I was always under the impression that people lost hair AFTER having their baby; that during pregnancy, you get a wonderful lush head of hair.  For me personally, I have noticed a significant decrease in hair loss during my pregnancy.  As for the sex of the baby, I think 16 weeks is still a little early to tell.  They might be able to if they get a good view, but don't get your hopes up too much....

I OPEN MINE EARLY........and make everyone else wait.......ROFLMAO
I hate surprises, especialy if I find out before hand that there is "something" going on.
I just CAN'T wait!!!!
And we wanted to know the sex so we could plan things better. With Talon we had NOTHING so we really needed to know as soon as possible to get things bought. This time around, we COULD have waited (only clothes to be bought if he had been a girl) but we both wanted to know.
I know, I know......life is better with surprises.......so they say........ROFL
Hugs,
Vikki

At his 9 mo. check-up on Friday the 15th, he weighed 19 lb and some ounces.  I can't remember the exact number off the top of my head.  He's 26-3/4 inches long.  According to the charts, he's just under the 50th percentile for weight and just over the 50th for length.  I wouldn't worry about your guy, he sounds like he's doing fine.  A friend of a friend has a son that wasn't even ON the charts for his weight, he was so light, He's about 4 years old now and doing fine.

Hello,
My name is Holly. I am 20 years old. I am planning on going off the pill (i have been on it for 3 years now) in November. I hope to get pregnant right away so I can give the news to my in-laws and my parents as an xmas gift. Do people usually have problems conceiving the first few months they go off the pill? How does it work? I also want to lose weight before I have a baby. As it is I am not comfortable in my skin. If anyone has suggestions or would like to chat, please email me at butterfly_baybee2005***@**** I will respond to everyone!
Also, will you only conceive on certain days of the month? I can use as much information as I can
