pregnant, worried, unviable pregnancy or not?

I recently found out I was pregnant the doc did and Ultrasound to determine due date due to recent irregular periods.  During ultra sound they said I was 6 wk 2 day but the sac showed nothing in it. I am worried sick he ran my hgc levels 2 days ago and I go back 2day for more testing to see if it has increased at all or nearly doubled, he did say I have an unviable pregnancy and wanted to perform a dnc.  I said no way not until I know 4 sure.  Help I am so worried could it really be this early that it would show nothing?  Please maybe help ease my mind alittle either way I just want to know its very difficult to know something but the unkown is worse I believe.

It could be to early to see anything, be clam.  I read a lot of questions like yours and they all see there babies a week later.  I was on of the ones who lost mine.  I went to get a u/s at 9w but my sac measured 6w6d and they saw nothing in there.  I had a blighted ovum.  I think you will be fine. As hard as it may sound you just need to wait.  If you not bleeding, that is a great sign.  I was spotting and bleeding.

I hope all will be well with you too.  I also had a blighted ovum and I ended up doing a d&c at 10 weeks.  At 9 weeks my sac measure like 6 1/2 weeks and it was empty.  I will keep you in my prayers.  Just remember that EVERYTHING in life happens for a reason!

I went through the same thing. Nothing in the sac but HCG rising but not doubling. You never know. Don't let anyone put any pressure on you to do anything till you are ready. If you want to wait a little, then wait. It is hard enough to go through , you don't need anyone pushing you into something you are not ready for. Good luck & keep us posted!

I agree with pearl451 - dont let anyone push you to make your decisions.  I waited 3 weeks to make mine and I did u/s every week.  By week 9 it was more than obvious what my situation was but I needed to be sure.  I did lots of reading and research and felt copmfortable with my decision.  Good luck.

I don't see any reason at this point to rush into a D&C. I posted the other day about a very good friend of mine. She went in for an u/s at 8 weeks, and they could not find the baby. One week later, they could! Do you know what your hcg level was 2 days ago?

It won't hurt to wait a little longer.  Your doctor should tell you that things don't look good (in his opinion) but should not have said you needed a D&C before getting your quant hcg back.  I would change doctors.  Even if this pregnancy doesn't work out your doctor was irresponsible in telling you to get a D&C before knowing what your hcg is doing.  

Was it a transvaginal ultrasound?  It's important because it will show the most.  At this point your baby is VERY small.  We're talking the size of a piece of rice small.  

I hope everything is OK.  They are running your numbers to see if they are doubling.  If they come back over 1,200 then the doubling time slows down.  It becomes 48-72 hours instead of 48.

3 weeks ago I had a miscarriage. mlp showed I was 12 weeks had an ultrasound measured 6wks 1 day.no fht no nothing. I was a wreck. Nevertheless I went to the Dr. on Monday to have a blood draw to check hcg and it came back at 277 which is high. The Dr. stated that I may be pregnant again and did another hcg so I am a mess again I have so many questions; is it possible to have a viable pregancy. I am totally freaked out. I am happy but I am refusung trying to stop myself from feeling anything. I dont know what to do.

I am confused...did you say your hcg was 277 ? This doesn't sound high enough at all. How far do you think you are?

Did you m/c naturally? 277 would be high for a 3 week pregnancy, but this is probably residual hcg from the m/c. Most likely, your levels are still decreasing. When do you get the results from the last blood draw?

I am having some type of bleeding...brownish discharge and is turning light redish-pink with light small tissue-like stuff falling. Nothing that requires a pad but I did go to the ER last night. They said one of two things could have happened since there was no gestational sac viewed in the ultrasound:

1) My bloodwork and unine showed positive pregnancy but still could be too early in the pregnancy to see a sac on the ultrasound...

OR

2) I've already miscarried.

I've already been to see three different doctors. The first one said I was 12 to 14 weeks (by measuring my uterus), the second said I was 8 weeks (measuring uterus), and the third said 4 to 6 weeks (blood and measuring uterus). Can this be a miscarriage or is there still hope that my baby is ok??? Has this happened to anyone before???

Hi everyone. Well, I am hopeful for us all in our quest to become moms and I am wondering if this has happened to anyone out there.  I am now 7w3d pg thru IVF (my 5th cycle!).  At 6w1d my HCG level was 6553.  5 days later it only went up to 9334. Following day had internal U/S.  Sac, fetal pole and heartbeat seen/heard!  Rate only 116 BPM.  Doctor says I probably only have a 50/50 chance of success.  I thought my HCG was o.k. b/c I read once level >6000 doubling time increases to >96 hrs and I thought normal rate for 7 weeks is around 110 BPM.  Can anyone give me any more hope?
