pregnant with a fibroid

by sapnared, Apr 29, 2006 12:00AM
I am 11 weeks pg and the doctor found a fibroid (4 cm) on the 8 week ultrasound. He said this could be a problem and maybe the answer to why I m/c three times. I'm not letting myself stress out too much about it, whatever happens happens, stressing out isn't going to help the pregnancy at all. I am wondering if anyone else has had a successful pregnancy with a fibroid? Thanks a bunch!

Hi, I am 5wks4days pregnant. I had an ultrasound yesterday and fibroid tumors were found. I had an ultrasound because I was having some pain in my abdomen and lower back and I was afraid I was going to miscarry. Everything looked fine with the baby. I have terribly high blood pressure and I have to see a specialist for my high risk pregnancy. I am terrified that I am going to have a m/c because all of the sites that I have read on all say that if you have fibroids, you usually do not carry to term. I wish that someone that has actually gone through this would post. I will pray for you, as I hope that this is not the case.
