prevacid?

my baby is two months old and she has been on prevacid for about a month she still spits up and choks on it all the time is still really fussy doesnt sleep very good. and her doctor put her on the spit up formula also. i heard that its not good to have them on the prevacid and the spit up formula at the same time??? what should i do??

I would take her to the chiropracter. I know it may not sound right, but the alignment of her spine has a connection to digestion. Trying that is much better than a lot of time taking medicine in my opinion. Best of luck

Some babies respond better to prevacid, others to zantac. Did you see any improvement at all when you started the meds? If not, then it may not be acid reflux. If you saw some improvement but not enough, then you may want to consider asking to try zantac.

2 months is a rough age- many babies are still colicky at that time. Other than spitting up, does she show the classic signs of acid reflux? Some babies just spit up a lot because of their immature digestive systems. Signs of acid reflux are arching of the back, screaming when they spit up, screaming when they hiccup or burp, etc...
