i called my ob because i have been so achy and crampy since last night.  the asst told me to drink lots of water and rest off my feet. if i am doubled over in pain or have bleeding call back. well couldnt that be too late? im sure its just stretching, but since i went on bedrest with my son i worry like mad.  is this what your drs have told you if you experienced this?? must be 18 weeks, im tired as can be too.

I hope it's just stretching.  I've had several friends that went on to have other kids after a c-section but they've never mentioned the scar hurting. Hope you feel better soon!

Given the fact you were on bedrest for a previous pregnancy I don't think the advice the asst gave you is acceptable.  Is there anyone else at the clinic you could talk to or insist the Dr call you?

At 18 weeks, its likely to just be stretching pain around the scar and the round ligaments.

But the achy and crampy feeling, that's different.  .it should resolve promptly with rest and fluids.  If not, call your provider back.  Better to be safe than sorry.

Mine was hurting a little too the 2nd time around.  Not too bad.  Come to find out when I had my DS I had scar tissue on my uterus that they had to take off.  So I think that is what it was.

That is what Dr. Wonderful's office always told me too. It kind of got on my nerves. But everything's ok so far for me so I guess it was no biggie. But considering your history, they should probably be a bit more concerned!

If it's any consolation, I had my appendix out last summer and the small scars from that hurt like a mother anytime I'd hit a growth spurt! So it could just be the scar tissue tearing. I would make sure to bring it up at your next appt. though! :)

i think its growth.  i knew some of you must have experienced the same thing.  they told me to call tomarrow early as they are there only part of the morning if i want to be seen. im embaressed to say maybe it could be constipation? im off to drink my prune juice lol.

I never had a C-section, but around 20 weeks I did get really uncomfortable around my scar tissue from the cut and tearing of my first baby.  It got painful at the end, scar tissue is not very stretchy and can be uncomfortable.  Not sure if you have that problem, but keep your Dr. posted and take care.

I have the scar that goes from the belly button down and it did bother me some.  Now I got two C-Section scars - the most recent is above my pubic hair line.  Now I got an upside down T :-) along with my hanging belly
