problem with ovulation?

problem with ovulation?

Hi gals,
I'm hoping you can give me some advice so I stop worrying about everything.  I had a M/C and a D&C on Sep 1st.  Got a normal AF on October 7th which lasted about 6 days.  I'm using the fertility monitor this month and for the last 3 days it's still showing low fertility (as of today I'm on calendar day 11). I'm worried that I'm not going to ovulate since the monitor still isn't picking anything up and don't we usually ovulate on or before calendar day 14?  Can you ovulate as late as CD 16 and still have a successful pregnancy as that would only be 12 days between ovulation and my next cycle?  Thanks in advance!

You may not ovulate this month, your body is trying to heal from a trauma.  I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I had one April 28 and I was devestated.  I hope you heal quickly and God blesses you with a child.

Ovulation on day 14 is just a general guideline for women since the average woman has a 28 day cycle. About 99% of women ovulate about 14 days before the 1st day of their AF. Therefore a woman with a 28 day menstrual cycle will ovulate on day 14. A women with a 32 day cycle will ovulate on day 17. I on the other hand, have a 26 day cycle and therefore I ovulate on day 12. I hope this helps. good luck.

Also, your luteal phase generally is always the same - this is the period of time from when you to ovulate until you have AF.  Mine is always 12 days.  So the only time that varies is between day 1 (first day of AF) and when you ovulate.....so delayed ovulation can lengthen your cycle.  You can totally ovulate late and still get pregnant.
