I have had two miscarriages, one at 11 weeks, we saw hb everything was good and I started spotting.  waited 2 cycles and got pregnant again.  went in at 9 weeks no hb and had another miscarriage.  Had a D&C with this one.  Now we are trying again, have been trying for the last 4 months.  I don't know why this one is taking so long, last time we got pregnant right away.  My currect doc does not believe that prog supplements help a preg.  I was wondering if anyone else had a doc that did not think prog supplements helped and did not use them but had a lasting pregnancy.

Here's my record. Miscarriage, baby, miscarriage, baby, baby, pregnant.  After my second miscarriage, my second term pregnancy my Dr. had put me on progesterone. I don't think he even tested it. This is my 4th baby, and my 3rd time taking progesterone supplements. I know that progesterone will not help a doomed pregnancy, but won't hurt a healthy one either! So sorry for your losses, so late too. What does your Dr. think? Just chromosomal problems, 2x in a row, fluke?

Sorry to hear about your loss, I lost my first 3 babies, my first at 16 weeks due to anencephaly, I was pregnant for a 2nd time 3 months after losing our first baby, my 2nd I lost at 8 weeks which ended with a d&c...it then took me 6 months to fall pregnant with out 3rd...which I lost at 6 weeks, I miscarried at home. no d&c required as it was a complete miscarriage. I then fell pregnant 6 months later with my daughter who is now nearly 6 and have 2 boys also who are 4 and almost 3. After we lost our 3rd pregnancy, the consultant I was under recommended progesterone suppositories and junior aspirin to take both from the day I got a positive hpt, which I did. I don't know if that is the reason I have my 3 children now, dh and I are ttc our 4th now and I will do exactly the same again, why does your doctor not think they will help?
