Progesterone supplementation with suppositories is very common.  No one knows if it really helps, but it doesn't hurt.  There are many, many women on this site who have used progesterone suppositories and had a good outcome and a healthy baby.

Sometimes multiple pregnancy losses can be caused by low progesterone levels.  If that is the case, then certainly supplementing with progesterone could be helpful.

Best of luck, I hope things go well!

Stay positive, I am in your situation, 5-6 wks pregnant, I just started progesterone shots yesterday, I have a threatened miscarriage, I am on bed rest, and have another u/s on tuesday. I have heard from several women on here, that had spotting, bleeding and some cramping and went on the progesterone suppliments and went on to have a normal pregnancy and healthy children. so there is hope, just dont give up!

If a person is going to have a miscarriage because the baby has not formed correctly, progesterone will not solve that problem.  But if a person might lose a baby only because her progesterone is too low, it absolutely and certainly helps.  So take your progesterone and I hope it is the answer in your case.  It certainly won't hurt you or the pregnancy even if it is not the solution.  Good luck, hon.

You could look up "round ligament pain" on the materials your doc has given you or online.  It does give you sharp pain that comes and goes, and is really normal with pregnancy.  I knew a hairdresser who was on her feet all day, every day of her pregnancy until she went into labor, and she had the quickest labor and delivery I've ever heard of (I think it was something like 3 hours) and she acted like it was hardly even painful.  So there is an argument to be made that exercise that is that mild and constant is better for you than bed rest.  I would talk over the issue with my doctor, but first read up on round-ligament pain. (It's the first think he will suggest if you describe what is going on.)  Good luck!
