prometrium prescribed

I haven't been on here in a while. I finally got my BFP last month and I am being extremely cautious and nervous as I don't want to go through what I did last year. I am freaking out now, because my doctor called and told me my progesterone levels were low and that he wanted to prescribe me a supplement to boost it up and that I would need to take it into my 12th week until my placenta took over. I was cool with that, but then I pick the prescription up and the bottles say do not take if pregnant or trying to get pregnant.  I have left a message with the doctor to call me, but in the mean time I was wondering if anyone knew anything about prometrium and it's affect on a pregnancy.

It's completely safe.  I took it daily until I was 12W b/c of 2 previous m/c's.  I'm currently 16W 2D and don't think I would have made it this far w/out it.  Congrats on the BFP!!!

Yeah, its safe..I remember thinking the same thing.  I was on them until I was 16 weeks.  My levels were really low as well.  I now have a 6mods.  good luck
