provera (progesterone) after m/c?

by txsprout, Jan 05, 2007 12:00AM
hello everyone - i suffered my 2nd miscarriage this past month and went in for a D&C the beginning of december.  i saw my doctor last week and he put me on provera (progesterone) for 5 days to jump start my cycle.  has anyone done this before and if so, how soon did your cycle begin?  i haven't seen AF but i feel like it emotionally & physically.  thanks for any responses.  we're ttc again if possible.

I was told you should start AF 2-3 days (no later than 5) after stopping provera.

I use provera all the time as i dont get af really on my own. It can all depend, i take 10mg once a day for 12 days, it usually starts about 3-4 days afterwards. But when i've done it for 10 days or under, it's taken between 4-14 days to arrive.

Anything from 3-14 days is when it should work.
