que after d&c

hi i had my first pregnancu d&c on 21st july. now , next when shud i try to conceive without having any risks of a second missed abortion. als after how many days can we do intercourse?

First of all, I am so sorry you had to go through this! I know it is hard and heartbreaking.
I had a D&C done on May 11th and the dr said no intercourse for 2 weeks and if I am not bleeding.  You want to make sure you are no longer bleeding because that can cause infection.  Some dr do not want you to get PG again until 1 or 2 cycles.  I got PG again right away with no cycle. I am now 9w 3d. I am excited, nervous, etc.......  Best Wishes to you and I will keep you in my prayers!

My dr. said the same - nothing for two weeks.  My dr. also said for the best chances to conceive wait two cycles before trying again although I know many get pregnant right after a d&c.  good luck.

My doctor said no sex for a month(!) and to wait two cycles before trying to conceive (to be sure the lining is sufficiently built up).

Sorry about your m/c, I lost my 1st pg at 7wks & had to have a d&c on the 13th June the hospital told us we could start ttc straight after the bleeding had stopped. Good Luck :-)
