I believe once you hit your eighth week an ectopic rules itself out but normally you do have symptoms, cramping and spotting. did you have bloodwork done yet? If so that normally can show some kind of problem as well. I had an ectopic about 8 years ago, the home tests came out negative and the blood test came out positive with a low hcg level. They knew something was wrong right away and were able to prevent any damage by giving me the shot of methotrexate. I think you are just worrying too much, which I completly understand and am guilty of myself. Everytime I read something I think, that could be me. Just part of being a women - we worry and worry and worry.
well i had an ectopic in may o5 and second one two weeks ago (oct 21) and both times once i reached the 5-6 week point there was severe cramping on one side and spotting. My home pregnancy test results both time were faint but positive in the blood work. The numbers were doubling slowly which really was a hint. Once the cramping was noted on one particualr side thats when i was seen for a ultrasound and they found it. The first time i had the methotrexate but it took a month for my numbers t go down after two dosages and this time they removed my right tube. I believe by now you would at 8 weeks b/c if the baby was still trying to grow in the tube there would be pain on one side or the tube would have burst by now.
Congrats and good luck.
I think you are clear. Good luck
