he no longer has a fever.. the fever broke yesterday close to lunch time...he is still a happy lil guys.. lil cuddly by parts but there is also alot going on right now with his dad and whatnot so...but regardless...anyone know what this could be???
oh and to add at first i thought it was a heat rash btu it has not been hot here at all in almost a week...and he has had heat rashes before...but not olike this its worse on his diaper area and on his legs and belly and feet
Is he being followed by a medical doctor? It seems like it is something different with this kid every week. Is there something going on in the bigger picture?
sounds like it may be coxsackie, or another virus. They often come with a rash. The spots in the mouth and on the feet makes me think coxsackie. Especially since the spots are white in the mouth. If i recall correctly, i did see cases with spots elsewhere too. and it can be combined with a heat rash due to the fever and heat. I would take him to the doctor for a diagnosis so that you can give the daycare a heads up on what may be going around. But I wouldn't panic- it honestly sounds like one of those lovely childhood bugs that go around in the warm summer months.
cameron is followed by a dr regularly...i know it'sstressful..i was thinking his teeth could have caused this but i dunno...hes still happy this am n the spots seem better...
he isnt attending daycare for the moment with his father trying/threatning to take him
teething doesn't cause white spots in the mouth, fevers that high, or an itchy rash.
I would get him checked so you know what he has/had. Or at least call this am and describe the symptoms.
Please remember that only a doctor can diagnose and treat. None of us are doctors. We can guess until the cows come home, but guesses are not helping you at all.
Let us know what the pedi says, ok? Hope he feels better.
sorry ladies it has been quite the hectic day...ds has a virus of some kind, probably caused by the fever..dr asked to keep an eye on him and if it worsens or i worry to go back but for the moment it looks like a virus..no names just a virus
