recurrent miscarriages

2 miscarriages within one year all bloodwork and "sis" neg  any suggestions that i should talk to my doc. about. One of my ob docs suggested i be put on progesterone supp. my levels were 4.6/4.9 during 1st preg. 6.2 during 2nd preg. I just completed all tests including sis. My doc want me to start trying again, should we check prog. now ? I am ovulating today or tomorrow. I have heard some say start prog after ovulation until blood preg is neg.

Yes, you would want to wait until after you've ovulated to start your progesterone.  My doc. suggested about two days after your LH surge (which worked for us after 3 m/c).  Then you should continue taking it until at least 14 days later when you'd normally test.  If you get a positive HCG, you

i agree you should be put on it especially if your doc says said so. I am 21 weeks pregnant after 2 miscarriages and i was put on it this pregnancy at 6 weeks along. Good luck to you.

i am on progesterone too for the same reason. i too take it 2-3 days after my LH surge and continue till AF or 12-14 weeks PG. the progesterone worked so well for me that i had to stop taking it to get my period to come after they determined i wasn't PG last cycle. i am glad to know it works.

I have had three consecutive miscarriages (this last one was a blighted ovum), but we still want to try.  My questions are what are the side affects of progesterone and is it necessary to have a D&C after a miscarriage?  I have never had one and I'm thinking maybe everything didn't come out which is why it keeps happening.  Any advice?
