rhesus negative pregnancy

Hi everyone

I am 9.5 weeks pregnant with my fourth child. When i was pregnant with my third they did a routine blood test to check if i was producing any antibodies due to my blood group which is negative. I was not allowed to go over full term of the pregnancy but luckly she diecided to come early so they did not have to intervine.

Now i am pregnant with my forth they have done a blood test last week which shows i have some antibodies in my blood still, but this time i have been refered to the obstetrics team at the hospital. Has anyone ever had problems with the antibodies who can give me some advice??

Thank you

Your doctor will monitor your antibody level to be sure it is not rising.   They may also do amniocentesis during the pregnancy, and test the antibodies in the amniotic fluid.

Your baby will be watched closely for signs of other problems that can be detected by careful ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy.

Thank you very much for your reply, that has helped alot.

Do you know if there is more of a chance it will rise than stay the same?

That I don't know.  I'm sorry.  Your doctor should know specifics.
