rogaine, anyone?

So, my hair is still falling out.  I am assuming it is a side effect from nursing...Has this happened to anyone else?  Too bad it hasn't happened to the hair on my chin :)  Does anyone know how to make it stop?  Besides stopping nursing, I'm not ready to do that yet.  Thankfully I had some to lose when we started, but I'll probably be bald by the time she's weaned :(

I don't think breastfeeding causes this - it's that you haven't shed hair the whole time you were pregnant and it all goes at once when the baby is born.

Don't worry - it will come back!  I remember being kind of afraid to brush my hair because when I ran my hands through it I'd have a handful of hair.

it's normal, and not due to breastfeeding. even my friends who didn't BF experienced this. for me it started at 12 weeks pp, and continued for about 3 months. now my hair is growing back and i have tons of 1 to 1 1/2 inch hairs that stick straight up. very attractive.

Yep, the others are right, totally normal and has nothing to do with bf.  If anything the bf may hold it off for a little bit.  My sis said hers started when she began to wean.  Mine was falling out after Cam for several months.  It does come back, my little one is 13 months old and I have lots of those short hairs too.  Don't stop bf for that, it will happen either way.
