second pregnancy after a cystic hygroma one

I'm a rookie, glad to find this site. As many others, our first baby was detected with cystic hygroma, getting worse with time. Then, we could find few information about this, almost bad, really depressing. We had to give up. We had a really hard time, except praying for him/her in the heaven. Luckily, we have another, happiness mixed with worrying a little, though the doctor said it is alright after the first ultrasound check now. We are wondering if it is necessary to have the amnio test because of its risk. I am near 30. Is there anyone can give some information or suggestion of this? Any thing is OK. Thank you for reading.

I just read about cystic hygroma. From what I just read, it said the odds of it happening is not very high. Having an amnio done is risky. If the doctor says everything is ok, I would not put the baby at risk and have the test done. However, for piece of mind, you could do it. Personally, I would not. You are very young and will probably have a normal, healthy pregnancy.
