self tanners and pregnancy

Are self tanners ok to use during pregnancy? If so, does anyone know of one that will not turn me orange? I am a tanning junkie, but havent been since August because of my baby. I am having 2 baby showers in a couple of weeks. I ordered the cutest maternity dress from target, but It would look so much better if I had a little color. I am white as a ghost and the dress is choclate brown and light teal. By the way, I live in Michigan and its not possible to get any sun here this time of year!

Yes, they are fine.  I like the brand by Aveeda.  I apply it over the course of a couple of days because it is pretty subtle, but if you rub it in really good it looks very natural.

My doctor said self tanners are just fine.  I read in my baby magazine about Loreal tanners so I bought some 3 weeks ago.  I love it!!!! No orange at all! The one I use on my face is Loreal self bronze face tanner and the one I use all over is Loreal sublime body tanner.  Girl It makes my legs look like I have been in the tanning bed for a month! Just after 2 uses it works great! Be careful putting it on your toes and heels as well as your elbows! Believe me you will love it ! It is in walmart with all the tanning lotions Good luck

I like the Jergens brand tanner.  Very natural and very easy to apply evenly without streaking.  It provides color slowly though-a week of daily use will give a nice color.  I'm very pale, but bought the medium to dark shade and I really like it!

I agree w/ 2ndmom, the Jergens self tanner moisturizers are great!!  Look very natural.
