she's here

she's here

Well Emily Marie was born on 1/29/06 by c-section at 1:12 pm she was a healthy 7lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long. she is such a good baby she hardly ever crys and even sleeps through the night which is great for me but not so great for her i am breast feeding her but my milk still has not come in and so i have to supplement with formula after each feeding which i am not so happy about but in the hospital she got down to 6 lbs because of it so she can not afford to skip feedings anyway how long does it usually take for the milk to come in with my son my milk came in right away.

First congrats on the baby how wonderful, sometimes your milk does not come down for 4 to 5 days after just keep putting her to the breast often that should bring down your milk fast. Good luck babies are so wonderful.

The more she's on your breast, the quicker it will be in!
CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations on your beautiful new girl.  I agree with momof11, put that baby to breast as much as possible.  Teh more you nurse the more milk you have.

Congrats!  From what I know you need to keep breastfeeding to help your milk come in faster.  Plus in the first couple weeks some babies tend to be sleepy and will sleep through their hunger.  You really shouldn't allow more than 4 hours to go by without feeding her.  This inhibits building up your milk supply to your baby's needs.  If she goes 4 hours you should be waking her up to feed.

congratulations! Remember , sometimes milk takes a little longer to come in with a csection.

Congrats!  My milk took at least a few days - maybe even a week -- to come in.  We had to supplement with formula for awhile.
