should i start potting training carmine?

Okay Carmine for the past month or longer when he goes to the bathroom number 2 or 1 he lets me know by waving his hands like smelly lol or he will go get my a diaper and take it off. He sits on his potty but i dont know if he understands he will be 21 months old any advice?

he's probably not ready for serious training, but there's no harm in continuing to let him sit on the potty. Your best bet is to ask if he wants to try potty, and encourage him to sit on it when you go to the bathroom.

If you can recognize when he's about to poop, you can plop him on the potty and see if he'll poop there instead. I did that at 15 months with DD, and she's been pooping on the potty ever since. Again, this isn't full-on training, but there are many steps you can take over the next several months to help him recognize when he has to go and to make the potty a normal part of the routine. Another thing you can start doing is asking him if he's wet or dry when you change him. Again, it's to help him recognize and verbalize some of these functions. Keep it casual and fun, and don't expect much for another year!
