I'm between 7 to 9 weeks pregnant and i try to go to bed every night at 10 but i end up tossing and turning for an hour to an hour and a half then once i get asleep i wake up again then i toss and turn again for an hour to an hour and a half i do this at least a couple times throughout the night and i'm just so exausted by the time its time to get up with my 14 month old DD i dont know what to do anymore but im tired of feeling tired when i need to get up with her and i'm just so tired from not sleeping and tossing and turning all night long...so what should i do any suggestions??

I know that Tylenol PM is safe to take while pg.  You could try that and see if it helps settle your mind and body.

Are you feeling well enough to get some mild exercise, like a nice long walk after supper?

That may help with the restlessness.  Also, make sure you are keeping a little something in your tummy.

i would if i had a lot more energy but since i've been getting no sleep i dont feel up to doing much..so maybe i will try tylenol pm see if that helps if so then great if not then i guess i will contact my doc to see what he thinks...right now i'm not walking outside its snowing ...plus its really cold to and i dont like taking my DD outside in cold weather

I would recommend 1/2 unisom pill and B6 vitamin 30 min before bed. This is what my doc recommended.  It is safe for pregnancy.  I would also eat a bowl of ceral before bed in case you are waking up because of low blood sugar.  Anyways it wasn't a miracle, but I think it helped. I am just starting to sleep better and I am 13 weeks. By the way never had trouble falling or staying asleep before I was pregnant this time, I was the person that you would see sleeping away in cars and at airports :).
