small pox/ open forum

hi ladies. well dh is going overseas for 30days :( i was afraid he wouldnt be here wen i O but he actually leaves after i O so we still have a chance this month :) however...he had to get a small pox shot. i no its like the flu shot where they give you a bit of the virus so you will become immune to it but does any1 no if that will affect us TTC??..  should i wory if i do get pg?.. i mean would it hard the baby at all if i end up pg? he just got the shot a day ago so he doesnt feel the effect yet. i am only asking cuz i no absolutely nothing about this virus..i mean i no some stuff but i dont no if it effects ttc or anything like that..im just a little worried. well if any1 knows anything plz let me no.

I don't really know anything about that, but I see your concern.  If I were you, I would call your doctor about it.  You never know if it could cause a problem!

Are you sure its small pox? I've travelled quite a bit to third world countries and never had to get a small pox vaccine. Its actually just about irradicated. Only like 1 person gets it every 10 years in the whole world. It seems so unlikely that he would even need the small pox vacine because of this. However, def call the doc and make sure about all the vaccines he is having. I was never ttc when I was travelling overseas so don't know.
