spotting after pap

I am approximately 5 weeks pregnant.  I had some slight cramping and light brown spotting and went in to have a internal ultrasound and a pap test.  They found a cyst in my right ovary (probably causing the cramping) and did see the fetal sac.  I had some red spotting after the pap which turned to brown in the evening.  But the next morning I had red spotting (it again turned to brown by the evening).  This morning I woke up with red spotting again.  Is this normal?  Could the pap have just irritated me that much?  This is my second child and I keep freaking myself out.

A lot of times after you have a pap you spot but you might want to call your Dr to to be sure. Your cervex is so sensitive now & a pap & U/S can cause it.

I have attempted to talk to my doctors office about it but they are kind of giving me the run around.  I had follow up blood work to test my HCG and progesterone.  I won't get the results until tomorrow aand they say I have to wait until then.  I understand tat But that means I am going to pend the next 24 hours freaking out.  I was justhoping someone else had gone through this and could reassure me.
