spotting and bleeding

I am 6 weeks pregnant, and I have been doing a lot of spotting for about 2 or 3 weeks now..but it goes away for a few days and then comes back. Its very light, and dark brown. However, sometimes there will be some red. but it too, is still very light. Should i be concerned?

It is not uncommon to spot during pregnancy, but definitely mention it to your ob-gyn.

not to scare you, I would be concerned though. I was 7 weeks and spotted, I ended up having a miscarriage. Like AnnieBrooke said, it is not uncommon, but there is a chance it would be bad. You should definately call your doctor and atleast rule out any possible chance anything could be wrong. For me my m/c was the worst thing in the world to experience. They will probably run a hcg level on you to make sure your levels are still rising, which i hope everything is ok. I hope all is well, but i would call your doctor soon. bright red blood is not a good sign, brown or pink i was told is not to bad.

I spotted for the first 15 weeks of pregnancy with my son.  Have you seen the heartbeat yet?
