My nurse practitioner told me that spottingVaginal bleeding between periods, cramping, nipple tenderness, etc. is normal while breast feeding and waiting for your body to regulate itself. I am four months post partum. My first period was light and lasted for 3 days, while my 2nd was just some spotting and a lot of cramping and that was basically it. I think I finally ovulated a couple weeks ago, and I am hoping that this week will be my 1st "normal" cycle. I am not pregnant, but it will be nice to stop worrying about what is going on with my body even though everything is normal after you have a baby and you have been nursing--I stopped at the 2 mth. mark with my DD.
It sounds normal to me. If you think there is a chance you might be pregnant, then by all means take a pregnancy test, but otherwise I wouldn't worry too much, it only makes things more erratic.
