spotting before period?

im not due to have my period for another week and a half but the past four days i have had a brownish "spotting" when i wipe. I have read some things saying this might be pregnancy could i be pregnant or could this be something else? I have had unprotected sex with my boyfriend but we are almost positive none got inside me.

I had that brown spotting about 7 days before expected period, and turned out, I was pregnant.  In addition, unless you used b/c, you don't know if some 'got inside you' or not.

okay thanks..... i talked to someone i know who is a doctor and he said to take a early pregnancy test so i did.... it was negative but its only good 5 days before your missed period and i still have about 9 days before mine so should i not go by that test?

I had the same thing happen to me. It was like a brownish like blood so i just thought my period was about to come on because my b/f never would *** in me he would pull out sry but im telling you my story anyways I was at my job and it started when i wiped it was like dry blood brown so i did what i always do put my period stuff in TAMPOO! But when i got off of work i went to take it out and it had a lite red on it just a little bit so i just went on. Then the next day it did the same thing and my period never came and i went and took the test it was - Negtive - . a week later it still never came and i took like 4 test all ------ so i thought it was just my period was late, but later to find out thats the first sighs of being pregant!!! I went to the DOC and i found out that i was 6 weeks pregant so i think you may just be PREGANT!!!

I would certainly retest next week if your period has not yet arrived...good luck!

Hi i spotted nine days before for two days? Then five days later I had some bleeding then two days after that it stopped. My period was not due until nine days from the first day that I spotted. Now the days I did have that spotting it was only when whipping then before the days I did have bleeding I had one dark spot dark/brown on my panties so I dont know if I could be going thru something extra special right now but I cant wait to find out I am going to wait and see if my period comes next month around the twenty third? I have been waiting for this day to happen for me........I am not having any signs at this point

I have had a brown spot, followed by pink spots when I go to the loo and then red, then light brown spots the next day for the last 4 days. My period is supposed to be due in 3 days time (but it has been all over the place since I came off the pill in Feb this yr). I had sex twice on the day I ovulated and the twice day after and so I am wondering if this is a pregnancy sign or a miscarriage sign or that something else is wrong.

Any help would be so appreciated - I have been to my local family planning clinic and I don't feel like I am getting any real advice or help and I am very upset by it all.
