stuffiness

Hey girls! Just keeping an eye out on everyone! Quick question, any of you ladies very stuffy in the nose when pregnant, and do you remember when it started ?

My stuffiness started pretty early too and then got a little worse at the beginning of my 2nd trimester. I just make sure I have tissues if I need them. A humidifyer could help a little, although I don't think it did much for me. We'll all get through it.

My SIL in 33 wks pregnant. From the very beginning she had nose congestion...blowing her nose ALL the time!  It sounds gross but it was always bloody too. Aparently this is normal as the blood vessels are expanding. Nothing to worry about.

ive had it since before I found out I was pg along with blood..now I have a sore throat I'm only 5wks 5dys..i guess it's normal from what I have been reading.

I had stuffiness before I even found out I was pregnant (I got BFP 16dpo). My stuffiness was so bad that it was keeping me from sleeping, so I went to my pharmacy and asked my pharmacist if there was anything that I can take/use to help with the stuffiness, he gave me a nasal spray and said that it was safe because it is NOT absorbed into the blood stream. It works wonders. I have also been fighting a cold for 2 and 1/2 weeks now. I just finally got some antibiotics and it seems to be getting ALOT better.

my stuffiness started before I got preg.  I'm a seasonal allergy suffer.  I have to blow my nose all the time and I don't know if it's from allergy or pregnancy.  I do get itchy ears sometimes.  Anyone suffer from forgetfulness?  I notice that my short-term memory is gone and this is only my 5th week; is it gonna get worse?

Thanks everyone for your comments! As always you girls are great, its too bad we'll never meet, but it is sure nice to have all this support! I think I will try the nasal spray. I don't even have a BFP yet, too early, but my nose is telling me it may have happened this time!!!Thanks again girls!!!1

i had stuffiness in pg and used nasal spray every once in awhile.  my pharmacist suggested not to use it all of the time though, just when really needed.  i was advised to use saline drops for my nose and a humidifier.  good luck!

I've been stuffed up since about 4weeks along. I'm glad to read in the other post about the bloody stuff because I was going to ask my dr. about it. I don't remember it from the last preg. Take Care girls.

We have been trying for a while now. Do you think that could be my first sign?? I've had stuffiness and bluddy toilet paper for the last two weeks. I had never had it before so I didn't know if I had developed allergies or if I needed to go to the doctor to find out what was wrong. As soon as I read this, I got butterflies in my stomach and felt sick with hope. What do you think?? Should I keep my fingers crossed?
