swimming while pregnant

My husband and I go swimming during the summer at the local lake around here. I was just wondering if anyone has heard about not being able to go swimming in dirty lake water while pregnant. I don't mind swimming but this summer I just don't want to go out in the heat on a boat and be hot all summer long. The water get so hot some times that it doesn't even get you relief to get in to cool off. I am looking for anything to tell my husband we can't go swimming this summer.

i wouldnt go swimming in dirty lake water.. its ok to swim.. actually its great to swim and exercise.. but dont get over heated and if you are gonna swim.. swim in some nice cool clean water.. hope this helps.. have a great summer..

yeah I wouldn't swim in lake water maybe a pool would be better or like she said some cool clean water.

Thanks for the comments, I was thinking the same thing. You never know what is in lake water. You hear of people getting ecoli (however you spell it) that is not something I really want to get while I am pregnant.
