thyrodectomy status

right thyroid bed shows thyroid like tissue with focal nodular complex area of 2.8cm in size with few cystic spaces . what is the treatment in this case ?

Hi!
Usually most thyroid cysts are benign. If there are no pressure symptoms such as breathlessness or difficulty in swallowing, a wait and watch method is followed. If there are pressure symptoms then the cysts are removed through surgery. If your thyroid scan revealed hot spots then radio-iodine ablation may be tried. This may be followed by thyroid hormone therapy. Take care!
