Make sure to consult with an OB as u want to make sure that your TSH levels are where they should be. Your OB will want to moniter ur levels and adjust your dose as neccessary. I am also hypo and my levels are checked every 6 weeks to make sure they are within normal ranges. Having levels to high or two low can cause birth defects like mental retardation. I am glad that I talked to my OB before we decided to concieve as I didn't know that thyroid issues could cause many problems with pregnancy. I am currently 26 weeks and having a normal pregnancy. Hope this helps.
I have hypothyroidism and am pregnant. My doctor said I needed to increase my thyroid medicine when we found out because the baby needs the extra medicine or it could cause retardation in the baby. Let your doctor know.
I was told that I had hypo thyroid disease I gained 30 lbs. I get blood work done every couple of months. Then I was told it was gone.. Can a disease just go away?...This 30lbs is certainly hard to get rid of .
