It is safe to take Codeine during pregnancy. If your just taking plain old Tylenol, of course you would be feeling pain.....it is like eating M&M's for a toothache, or anything else for that matter. Discuss w/you dr. about getting the tooth extracted. Getting one tooth pulled is very temporary pain and swelling. If your already on antibiotics, this should be able to be done relatively soon.
I work in a dental office and from what I have seen and what I reccomend I would not get your tooth extracted since you are one week away. Most dentists, at least a good one wouldn't do it anyway. Do do the fact of the anethesia and you being pregnant and so far along. If it is really that unbearable I would first talked to your OB, but as I mentioned before you are too close to your due date, so the risks of being under anethesia and pregnant is not worth it to your baby. Hope this helps!
