tubal reversal after gastric bypass surgery?

by maliea1, May 04, 2005 12:00AM
I am considering getting gastric bypass surgery, but would like to know if it would cause complications with a tubal reversal that i have scheduled at the end of the year? Can they be done within six months of each other? can you get pregnant after gastric bypass surgery? And should i wait until after the reversal to do the bypass? If so how long?  Thanks for you help......

From reading your post I see your trying to get pregnant.
Is this the reason for the gastric surgery?
You may want to re think the reasons behind the gastric by pass, There are alot of women who are "overweight" and can concieve,  You would have to weigh the pros and cons Gastric surgery isnt something you recover from overnight  you need to get more information from your doctor to see what your true intentions are and then make a informed decision.
