u/s scheduled for Tuesday

by kathy1029, Jan 05, 2007 12:00AM
Hi!! I'm 18 weeks pregnant and scheduled for an u/s on Tuesday on my right breast.  I've noticed some changes over the last few weeks--the right one seems lumpier than the left one.  My Dr. feels that this is due to being pregnant and probably isn't anything to worry about---easier said than done.  Has anyone else experienced anything like this during pregnancy??

I have had a problem with a large lump in my left beast but not while pregnant. I went for a mamogram (mammogram) and then an u.s as I am only 23. It turned out to be glandular tissue. I can still feel the lump now. It is prominent but the only time it gets bigger is when I am sick or run down. So there are other explainations for lumps so try not to worry and wait and see.

my sister, who is 27, recently had to have surgery to have a large lump removed from her breast.  It turned out to be benign, so everything's fine, but it was pretty scary.  I think it's pretty common for this kind of thing to happen.

Being pg will change your breast tissue--especially if you were a little more lumpy to start with.  I know my doctor would check for me--but since I was his patient for a while he deemed everything was normal for me by just a self exam.  I hope the same for you.
