uti

hi, im 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant,  think i mite have a uti my urine is very strong smell from it and a slight bit of a ache.....

i was pregnant at xmas and had this aswell and it got really bad i ended up miscarrying.. im so scared the same thing is gonna happen again,,, i got it in time and going to my doc in the morning..any1 have this experince and what was their outcome.

The good news is, if you have a UTI that will not cause you to miscarry.  I believe you can buy OTC kits to test for UTI at the grocery store so you may want to check into that in the mean time.

Your symptoms can also be explained by dehydration.  Are you drinking 6-8 glasses of water (at least)?  This is VERY important during pregnancy.  Also if you are dehydrated, that can cause cramping and will concentrate your urine which could result in the strong odor (your diet also contributes to urine odor).

I'd call your dr tomorrow and in th mean time drink lots of water and try to flush it out.  The smell might just be from being pg. Alot of people mention a different smell to their pee but it shouldn't hurt. If it is a uti it is very treatable in pregnancy, so I wouldnt' worry.
