very confused

ok i posted 2 weeks ago almost in regards to a miscarriage,...first 2 days i spotted dark brown then sat n sunday it was bright red bleeding and heavy when i went to the toilet but wasnt heavy on a pad during those 2 days of heavy bleeding i lost 2 clots brown ones then the bleeding totally stopped apart from a couple of brown spots over the next 2 days but nothing to worry about or leak through clothing etc...2 days later my partner and i were having sex as we thought we had lost our babies(the first ultrasound showed quads) (the second ultrasound showed one baby)..the sex wasnt because we were happy or anything it was us connecting and being there for each other i guess in a kinda greiving way who knows...but during sex i lost what looked like to be a clot or tissue but was about the size of an olive but solid...now there was no blood with this...i called the doc he said it didnt look good if i lost tissue i just wanted to know when syptoms (symptoms) would cease of being pregnant...they told me within 2 weeks if i did another pregnancy test it would show a negative result...well i did this yesterday and it showed a very faint positive...anyone have any idea on what could be going on here? they told me it would deffinately show a negative result by then but its not...the line took a good 8 mins or so to show but it was there and now im confused as hell did i lose my babies and have fallen pregnant again? surely i would only be like just over a week and it wouldnt show on a test yet if i had fallen again? or is there hope to think i may still be pregnant? i still have sore boobs etc?

i just dont want to go the docs and have the bad news given to me again saying  the babies have all gone...we r just starting to come to terms with our loss...have greived and dont want to go back to point a with being told again...do i just leave it for a couple of weeks and see what happens or could it be a sign that something is wrong etc?

My guess would be that your HCG just hasn't gotten back to zero yet.  If you initially had a multiple pregnancy your HCG would have started out much higher and would take longer to come down.  I would wait another week and test again.  If you still get a positive then ask for a quantitative HCG test to be done.  Good luck! thanx annie...that could be the reason its still showing positive...i just wish the peeing alot and headaches n tiredness would hurry up n go lol its driving me nuts and feelings of nausea every now n again grrrr...thanx for ya comment though

It can take a long time for your hcg to go down to zero.  Especially when it gets below 100.
