long story short.....had a tubalEctopic pregnancy Gynecologic laparoscopy Tubal ligation Tubal ligation - series ligation in 2001 during a c-section. june 16 went to ER due to cracked ribsRib cage pain, they informed me that i was pg. shocker!!! everything was normalNormal saline flush. the pregnancy WAS in the uterus, my hcg levels were great in the begining, then at about 9 weeks they started to decline. i spotted and cramped but had to have a D&C on august 10th. AF arrived on the 30th of august, i bought a OPK on saturday. I am wondering if ANYONE ever heard of getting pg after a tubalEctopic pregnancy Gynecologic laparoscopy Tubal ligation Tubal ligation - series ligation, had a MC and then went on to get pg again and had a healthy baby??? i made it to 11 weeks 5 days pg, then had the D&C. i figure that either one or both of my tubes are open enough to let an egg pass through to the uterus. i think that the reason that i lost the baby was that i was attacked on june 13 and beaten up. I was taken to the hospital the same day and they gave me an injection to calm me down which i was highly allergic to. they gave me nitroNitro td patch-a Nitro-bid Nitro-dur under the tongueTongue tie, i think all of this played a part in why i MC'd.
I wish I had some information for you, all I can say is that if you got pregnant once there is a pretty good chance that you could get pregnant again- if you don't want to get pregnant again than I would say it's best to do some kind of birth control to avoid it, if you do want to get pregnant again I wish you the best of luck. There could be any number of reasons why you went on to miscarry, unfortuantely there is no clear cut answeres on this one- it could have been the medications, or it could have been that there was something wrong with the baby and it just couldn't develop any further. Anyhow, I am so sorry for your loss, and which ever way you want this to go- good luck to you.
thanks for getting back to me.... i should have said I desperately want to get pg again. i made a terrible mistake by getting the tubal ligation done in the first place! thanks again! :)
Maybe you just had your prayers answered and are being given a second chance!!!! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. If you really want to know if one or both tubes are open you can get a test done that they put dye up into your uterus and it goes up into the fallopian tubes to see what's going on in there. I believe it is a hysterosalpingogram. It is also said that fertility is increased some after this test is done because it clears the open tube(s) and gets rid of any debris that might be keeping the egg from getting where it needs to go. Good luck!!
wow thats good to know about that dye test....my doc mentioned that to me, he said that after he sees me on the 27th of sept, he will schedule the test. its funnt too bc we were talking about the possibility of getting the tubes reversed in a few years and then BAM!! PG!!! it was a great suprise. i am trying to keep a positive attitude about it, your word are encouraging.
Blessed, I distinctly remember highly encouraging you a couple of weeks ago, to get the dye test, to check to see the condition of your tubes. You didn't think it was necessary, but did acknowledge your doctor had recommended it, and then you invited me to perhaps stop responding to your posts.
no peek...as a matter of fact i had apologized that you took my "listening" comment the wrong way. My doctor had told me that I will be scheduled for the dye test after my visit with him on the 27th of sept. I just think you never looked at the post after that comment was made, or you really thought i did not want you to respond. I really meant "listening" in a good way......i said that I appreciated your advice. I also appreciate my doc's advice but I must admit that I am a stubborn person. I am ttc as soon as I can.....I know this may not be such a great idea without getting the dye test done but I am anxious. I am glad that AF came right back to me...pretty quick huh? I bought OPK saturday and I am just curious to see if It will happen for me. I know I may be driving myself nuts but I can't help but wonder and I do not want to wait. I may be setting myself up for heartache.......we'll see. If i don't get pg this month, I will have to wait. I know that the dye test has to be done 7-10 days into your cycle. I did not know that it increases fertility.....possibly.
