what next after unsucessful clomid ?

if for some one 50 mg clomd did not work for 4 cycles then what is the next option for her? there is no other problem, other then irregular ovulation. and in past i had a biochemical pregnancy 10 months before, so i think i am fertile b/c we only ttc for two months and i had a faint bfp which later on was thought as biochemical pregancy and ended in m/c.
so with no sucess in 4th clomid cycle what shuld i do next ?

I am not a gyn/ob to tell you what to do next but what was left for me was self injections b4 ivf.  The self injections were called puregon which is a fsh shot you give yourself daily to trigger an ovulation response from your ovaries...this treatment can continue until the desired outcome occurs which is ovulation or your period starts...usually o happens.  This is closely monitored by the gyn/ob until the eggs reach a size of 19-22mm which indicates that o will happen soon.  You then have a shot of pregnyl which is the hcg hormone given by a doc or nurse.  If you have the pregnyl injection say in the morning the gyn/ob will then tell you that you are to bd the next afternoon, night and morning after as midnight the night after injection is when o is predicted to occur....so precise!   I had taken this method for 2 rounds (2months) and was successful the third time but unfortunately lead to mc at 9weeks.  I got back on the horse a month after my 1st cycle from dnc and on the 2nd round got pregnant again...and happy to say this one is much better, I am 8w but we are alot further then the first pregnancy where we have seen the baby and hb where we didnt see anything until week 9 last time and then only saw an out of wack gest sac.  I havent had it easy tho this round as I got over stimulated ovaries and was in hospital for over 2 weeks and they still arent right but I have a little bundle of joy growing inside me so I can whinge too much.  Injections was a huge step for me to take but as I didnt get any results with clomid I took a deep breath and just did what I had to do...I wanted a baby more than anything and just had to face facts that if I didnt do this I would have went to IVF and they would have poked me with bigger needles..... You are the only person who knows your body and do what you think is best for you!  Wishing you all the very best and I hope this helped somewhat.

There are still other options before moving to injections....you could try Femara...which is almost like clomid but it does not mess up your CM, (thin your lining)etc.... AND you could try IUI (if you didn't already) AND the hCG shot  .....  maybe it's your timing?????  This is just some of the things you may want to try before moving to innjectables/...  I tried all but injectibles and decided to move onto IVF....  I start Nov. 1st!!!!  Good luck to you!!!!

I took clomid for 4 cycles and at my OB's office when you startany fertility treatments you have to put a thousand dollars down and after all the tests before and then all the ultrasouds we ran out of money after about a year and decided to take a break until we could save the money again. And of course that very first month we got preg. ironic huh my problem was also irregular Oing. take a break before the next step and let you body rest and maybe it will help like it did us.
